Niseko is not just a destination for snow sports!

While this destination in Hokkaido is already well-known for slopes of fresh powder snow, it shows an entirely different side in the spring. 

Not far from the slopes is the town of Kutchan, home to the Mishima Shiba Sakura Garden.

From late May to early June you can see a carpet of purple, pink and white shibazakura (moss phlox) and bright yellow nanohana flowers frame nearby Mt. Yotei.
