Festival favourites Electrik Lemonade are among this year’s headline acts, along with Thandi Phoenix and Timomatic.
The party starts at the Coral Sea Marina| Resort at 5pm on Friday, August 2, with a lantern parade that will follow the boardwalk to the Airlie Beach foreshore.
Here everyone will enjoy night markets, carnival rides, Whitsunday Food Service Eat Street and Mama Africa pop-up bar, ahead of the official festival opening and signature event the Whitsunday Coast Airport Fireworks on the Foreshore.
Back by popular demand, Timomatic will bring nostalgia to the night for anyone who remembers his performance of 2013.
Next up is rising Sydney star, Thandi Phoenix, currently on high rotation with Triple J.
MC’s Sam and Rach from Hit FM will keep the banter going long into the night, with an after-party at Mama Africa Bar and Nightclub.
Saturday’s ‘Beach on the Beach’ entertainment kicks off with a mix of local and guest acts, followed by the kings of funk, Electrik Lemonade, and an after-party at Magnums Hotel.
Electrik Lemonade will also close the festival at Chill in the Park on Sunday, August 4, from 2pm, followed by an after party at the Airlie Beach Hotel’s ‘The Pub.
