Taking inspiration from the natural surrounding beauty of Sanctuary Cove, the design has been focused on reinvigorating the venue with natural oak panelling and olive-hued velvets to be unveiled late May 2019. Interiors will compliment Cove Café's original emerald stained-glass window features while bringing a distinctly fresh, dynamic energy to match Executive Chef Matt Hart's new breakfast tapas concept and vibrant buffet style.
In an exciting addition to the venue's enhancement, the redesign will see the venue seamlessly connect the buffet inside with the resort's tropical gardens outside, with expansive sliding doors transporting guests to the stunning al fresco seating on the Fountain Terrace. The coffee station is being relocated closer to the new alfresco dining terrace to enhance flow through the restaurant.
Cluster General Manager, Matt Rippin said, “Cove Café has been a favourite dining destination of our guests and we are excited to share their new refreshed venue that embraces quintessential Australian-living by bringing the outdoors in with the stunning design.”
During the enhancement, Cove Café's signature breakfast buffet will be relocated to The Grange. Where guests will discover seasonal local produce such as fruits, local Queensland yoghurt, gourmet bakery baskets, Sunny Queen farm eggs, freshly blended juices and more waiting for you each morning.
Executive Chef, Matt Hart said, “With the new-look Cove Café I am thrilled to be working on new concepts to bring to our guests that will showcase the best local produce utilising seasonal favourites that will put a spotlight of our fantastic region. Dining should be an inclusive experience that is not only incredible food but is also a feast for the eyes by way of presentation.”
During the Cove Café enhancements, the Saturday night seafood buffet will be taking a break. However, guests will still be able to experience wood-fired cuisine at its finest in the resorts signature restaurant, The Fireplace or indulge in a light dinner, lunch or drinks in the Verandah Restaurant & Bar.
