Artemis Communications Adds New Quarterly Men's Lifestyle Magazine to Print Stable

Hong Kong boutique custom publishing agency Artemis Communications continues its expansion with the first issue of its new men's lifestyle quarterly magazine, The Edition, hitting the streets of North America this month.
The Edition is an 88-page glossy lifestyle magazine geared towards the sophisticated male consumers of soon-to-launch luxury lifestyle brand Astleys of London and is the latest magazine project undertaken by Artemis Communications after the recent launch of custom travel magazine Mirandus.
“Artemis Communications was a natural choice for us when it came to creating a magazine that spoke the language of Astleys,” says Astleys CEO Joe Batchelor. “Astleys was founded in Jermyn Street, London, in 1862 and has a rich and vibrant heritage. As part of relaunching the brand for today's modern gentleman, we needed a magazine that could engage a like-minded audience.”
The Edition, which is initially available in the United States and Canada, is a highly topical lifestyle title that covers everything from dining and travel to fashion and culture. The launch issue includes a feature on cruising Antarctica by superyacht, the boutique hotels redefining downtown Nashville, the kitchens incorporating cannabis into avant-garde cuisine, and the influence of the Victorian era on male fashion. In addition, the magazine is packed with insightful profiles, including pieces on actor and musician Donald Glover, actress Victoria Loke, and nouveau-Cajun chef Isaac Toups.
“Astleys is a brilliant brand, one steeped in heritage, so it was great that we were able to extend its philosophies into a magazine concept that would engage, inspire and entertain today's modern male reader,” says Artemis Communications managing director Nick Walton. “The Edition offers us a chance to cover some really interesting subjects, some of which may be controversial. Ultimately it offers readers an informed voice that taps into their existing lifestyle.”
In addition, Artemis Communications has created an online content portal for Astleys called The Journal. The portal covers everything from travel, style and how-to sections to interviews with inspiring men and women. The two content solutions leverage off each other, allowing readers to access a wide range of both time sensitive and timeless content.
“Custom magazine solutions are an increasingly effective way for companies to sidestep pay-to-play media models and control the narrative, ensuring the stories that are important to the company are given a voice while also rewarding customers and guests with an engaging and entertaining magazine,” says Nick. “In an age when everyone has a website, a print solution can help maintain loyalty, win business and ensure stakeholders and consumers remain informed.”
