Khanh Hoa ready for National Tourism Year 2019

The Khanh Hoa People’s Committee has decided to establish an organizing board for National Tourism Year 2019 with 18 members, led by Mr. Tran Son Hai, Standing Deputy Head of the Committee, reported Khanh Hoa News.

The provincial Department of Tourism is the standing agency which will host and coordinate with other units and localities to advise the organizing board to build and issue plans and overall programs for the event.

Under official dispatch of the Government office dated October 28th, 2017, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam agreed with proposals selecting Khanh Hoa and Ninh Binh to be the hosts of National Tourism Years 2019 and 2020.

The Government assigned the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to instruct and closely associate with the Khanh Hoa and Ninh Binh People’s Committees to build plans, contents and mechanisms in the spirit of ensuring the effectiveness and suitability with the requirements and reality of each locality.

In 2019, Khanh Hoa will also organize the 9th Sea Festival with diverse activities in order to continue to promote tourism of Nha Trang in particular and the province in general and attract more tourists.

The province attracted nearly 120,000 visitors during the previous festival in 2017, including 13,000 foreign visitors, up 44% compared to the festival in 2015, said the Department of Tourism.
