JESS+MATT LAUNCH 'SYDNEY TO ME' IN CHINA

Jess+Matt perform Sydney to Me in Mandarin in China
Australian pop sensations Jess+Matt have officially released their hit single, Sydney to Me in Mandarin in China through Sony Music Entertainment in a unique partnership with Destination NSW.

Their love song to Sydney provides Chinese travellers with a musical invitation to visit Australia’s famous Harbour City.

Sydney welcomed more than 713,000 Chinese visitors in the year ended June 2017, making China the number one visitor market to NSW.

The duo performed the new single, which will ensure NSW stays front of mind with Chinese consumers, in Guangzhou in front of Premier Berejiklian and senior Chinese Government officials and travel trade delegates before kicking off their promotional program.

Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer Sandra Chipchase, who spearheaded the recording and release of the new single, said Sydney to Me in Mandarin is another first for NSW.

“We are the first State in Australia to sign a partnership with Sony Music and release a single in Mandarin that reflects the beauty and excitement of our gateway city and its surrounds,” Ms Chipchase said.

Jess Dunbar and Matt Price said, “Sydney is such an inspirational and vibrant city and we hope that Sydney to Me motivates Chinese travellers to fall in love with the city just like we did and encourages them to experience it for themselves.”

The activity tops out an incredible year for the pair, whose album Belmont Street, featuring the hit Sydney to Me track, debuted in February and soared to number 20 on the Australian charts.
