The showcase offers audiences the last chance to see six ancient Egyptian mummies and discover what lies beneath through 3D visualisation technology.
NSW Minister for Tourism and Major Events Adam Marshall said, “This blockbuster exhibition continues to attract visitors to Sydney and is expected to deliver more than $3 million in overnight visitor expenditure during its Australian premiere. It’s a fantastic opportunity for visitors to learn more about Ancient Egypt and the NSW Government is proud to have secured an exhibition of this calibre for Sydney through the support of our tourism and major events agency Destination NSW.”
Due to the exhibition’s popularity, the Powerhouse Museum will be open late on 27 April giving people a chance to see the mummies after hours. The full museum will remain open from 5pm to 9pm for this exciting one-off event.
