The Macarthur region in Sydney’s south-west is set to stage an impressive foodie showcase when the popular AnnanROMA Food and Wine Festival returns in April.
This year’s event has strong culinary credentials with stallholders including Asian-fusion stars Kyubi Modern Asian Dining, quirky newcomers Vulkan Balkan, and Mexican masters Frank and Blanco.
The Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan will be transformed into ‘Eat Street’, stretching along the central circuit of the Garden from the playground to the entry of Lakeside Lawn, where visitors can find their patch of grass and chill out to some great sounds.
Sweet tooths will also delight in ‘Sweet Street’ which will feature a decadent display of dessert offerings, including treats from Siderno Pasticceria, Gourmet Macarons, The Ice Cream & Coffee Company and RicoCoco’s Chocolate Tea.
Event organiser and Visitor Experience Manager at the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan Rebecca Anderson said, “People don’t often link the Macarthur region with great food, but this cluster of Campbelltown, Camden and Wollondilly areas is home to some incredible kitchen talent and quality produce.”
A variety of great entertainment options will provide ambience and fun on the day. There will also be hands-on children’s activities managed by the Garden’s expert education team.
