Princess Announces Biggest Season of Europe Sailings in 2018

Sapphire Princess
Princess Cruises has announced that it will set sail on its biggest ever season of European cruising in 2018, with more than one million cruise nights on offer in northern and southern Europe.

On sale now, the cruise line’s new 2018 Europe program will see five Princess ships sail to 115 destinations in 35 countries, from the picturesque coastlines of the Mediterranean to the northernmost tip of Europe.

Highlights of the April to December 2018 season include Sapphire Princess’ inaugural European deployment as well as the first roundtrip British Isles voyages aboard Royal Princess departing from Normandy in France (Le Havre).

Making her first visit to the region, Sapphire Princess will offer 16 cruises ranging from three to 14 nights sailing from Southampton to the Mediterranean and northern Europe, including the cruise line’s first call to Skagen (Denmark). Fares start from $799* per person twin share for a three-night Channel Islands voyage departing October 6, 2018.

Royal Princess will return to the UK in May 2018, marking five years since she was launched by HRH, the Duchess of Cambridge. As part of her British Isles roundtrip itineraries from Southampton, Royal Princess will offer late night stays in Belfast and overnight stays in Dublin, Glasgow and Edinburgh, with a 12-night roundtrip cruise priced from $2819* for the May 1, 2018, departure. The 3560-guest ship will also offer the line’s first cruises from France (Le Havre) including 12-night roundtrip British Isles voyages.

Princess Cruises Vice President Australia & New Zealand Stuart Allison said the 2018 Europe program was the best yet.

“With new ports, new ships and new itineraries, we are very excited about our 2018 Europe offering. While Europe has always been popular with our guests, Sapphire Princess’ debut and Royal Princess’ first season of cruising from Normandy offers even more ways to explore the region,” Mr Allison said.

The program will also see Pacific Princess sailing on itineraries from Dover including a new 12-night European capitals cruise calling at Amsterdam, Oslo, Copenhagen and Paris, from $3929*. Guests will have an opportunity to attend the notable Edinburgh Military Tattoo on select eight-night Pacific Princess sailings and 12-night Royal Princess cruises, with overnight stays in Edinburgh on Pacific Princess, priced from $2919*.

From April to October, Crown Princess will offer 55 cruises from Rome, Athens and Barcelona with week-long departures from Rome including visits to Salerno, Kotor, Corfu, Crete and Mykonos. The ship will also offer longer 14 and 21-night voyages through the Adriatic and Mediterranean with a 14-night cruise from Athens on May 26, 2018, starting from $3189*.

Regal Princess will sail roundtrip from Copenhagen to Scandinavia and the Baltic from April to September.

The program also features select itineraries with “More Ashore” overnight stays and late departures offering guests more time to explore local cultures and culinary offerings at 32 destinations including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Dublin, St. Petersburg, Edinburgh, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Venice.

As part of Princess’ industry-first “Local Connections” program, guests can also enjoy shore experiences like a local with insiders’ guides designed in partnership with a network of European experts.

Meanwhile guests can enhance their trip with four unique Land and Sea Vacation options which combine certain sailings with a fully-escorted land tour including Paris and the French countryside, Ireland’s Ring of Kerry, and a tour taking in Budapest, Vienna, Prague and Berlin.
