'APP-y New Year, Lady Elliot-style

Lady Elliott Island Eco Resort – where guests can swim with real turtles in the pristine Southern Great Barrier Reef – has also gone high-tech, launching an in-flight App developed for Apple and Android users. The Lady Elliott App, available in five languages (English, Chinese, Japanese, German and French) has two main features – a 'Flight Tracker' (the only mode of transport to the island is via light aircraft) and 'Island Map'. 

The Flight Tracker focuses on more than 50 points of interest on routes from the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Hervey Bay, Bundaberg and Agnes Waters/1770, showcasing information about various destinations, popular activities, places to stay, eat and explore. Guests can also use the App to plan their stay on Lady Elliot Island, accessing weather, tides and island maps.
