The event will have over 40 beer vendors and 100 varieties of beers to sample, numerous food trucks, live music, and an abundance of DJ's, as well as the best part: animals! · Scarecrows: From the Heartland to Horror - New York Botanical Garden
Explore the evolution of the scarecrow in the U.S., from its everyday role in agriculture to its status as a cultural horror icon in films and comic books at the New York Botanical Garden. Created by sculptor and artist Ray Villfane, the art display is set amidst the Garden’s landscape, and comes to life for an evening experience after 3 p.m. For an additional experience, enjoy Scarecrow Nights with trick-or-treating for the whole family. Halloween Harvest at Luna Park – Coney Island
In addition to their famed amusement rides, guests at Coney Island’s Luna Park will find Halloween-themed arts and crafts, live performances, and a pumpkin patch featuring a giant pumpkin (not for picking!). Available weekends through October 30.
Ghouls and Gourds – Brooklyn Botanic Garden
Families are welcomed to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden for a daytime festival of costumes and fun. The day features over 10 live performances, a bug petting zoo, vegetable games, a children’s book barn showcasing 20 authors, and a children’s Halloween costume parade. Available Saturday, October 29.
· Annual Halloween Haunted Walk and Fair – Prospect Park
Lookout Hill, the highest point in Prospect Park, is the home of the Prospect Park Alliance’s Annual Halloween Haunted Walk. Ghouls and goblins lurk along an outdoor haunted walk during the afternoon and offer a fun adventure for young ones. Available Saturday, October 29.
The Village Halloween Parade is NYC’s largest and most well-known Halloween celebration. Join up to 50,000 participants for a trek along Sixth Avenue, guided by live music. Participants line up at Canal and Spring Street and travel up to 16th Street. Costumes are required to march! Available Monday, October 31 at 6:30 p.m.
26th Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade - Tompkins Square Park, Lower Manhattan
The immensely popular annual event features hundreds of dogs in costumes alongside thousands of spectators. After showing off your pooch’s outfits and best in show is declared after a runway competition, a parade follows for all to enjoy. Available Saturday, October 22.
Gradin Road Pop Up Shop at Macy’s Herald Square - Midtown
Macy’s Herald Square is celebrating Halloween with a pop-up shop from home décor retailer Grandin Road. The unique space transports visitors through four specific themes from Frightfully Fun, Bewitching, Macabre and Mystical, and the extremely popular, elegant-and-eerie Glam Halloween. Available now through October 31.
