BRAVO CHALLENGE RETURNS TO WOLLONGONG FOR ITS SECOND YEAR

BRAVO Challenge, a fun filled test of strength and mental endurance, this week launched its return to the Illawarra region for the second year. The event will offer competitors 50 challenges across two days, including new obstacles such as the Ice Bath, Container Climb and Inflatable.

Parliamentary Secretary for the Illawarra Gareth Ward, said regional events play an important part in the NSW Government’s plan to strengthen the State’s economy.

“We are thrilled that BRAVO Challenge is returning to the Illawarra, reinforcing the State’s position as the adventure playground of Australia,” Mr Ward said.

“BRAVO Challenge 2016 is expected to deliver $340,000 in visitor impact for the region, and we are proud to be supporting this exciting event through our tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.”

Event Director Chris Heverin said: "We are so pleased to be back at this wonderful destination and look forward to staging a brilliant event in September 2016. The BRAVO Challenge is open to individuals of all standards and fitness levels and you can do one or two days. Combining physical obstacles with boot camp drills and strategy activities, we have put a huge emphasis on getting outdoors and having fun. BRAVO is an event not to be missed and I urge everyone to jump on board and register.”

This year, the event will offer a unique experience to all participants with The BRAVO ARVO, designed to inspire and entertain after an exhilarating day on the course.

With less than two months to go, organisers are encouraging everyone to make a fun commitment and register for the 2016 BRAVO Challenge.
