Live Performance Australia Chief Executive Evelyn Richardson said last year’s Helpmann Awards sold out in record time and this year will be no exception.
“The extraordinary calibre of Australia’s live performance industry ensures the Helpmann Awards continue to be a world-class event,” Ms Richardson said.
The Helpmann Awards is the pinnacle celebration of Australia’s live performance industry and is supported by the NSW Government, through its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.
The preliminary line-up will include performances by the casts of Matilda The Musical, The Sound of Music, and Singin’ in the Rain, with individual performances by Marina Prior & Mark Vincent, and Sarah Blasko, together with Bangarra Dance Theatre and The West Australian Ballet.
