It is right next door to the Etihad Stadium, so is the perfect hotel to stay in when watching a game of cricket, a football match, or one of the many entertainment extravagances that are held there. It is a simple matter of walking across the concourse, without even having to cross a street, and you are there. When the event is over there are no traffic hassles as you just walk back to your hotel.
It is close to the Docklands precinct proper and its restaurants, Star Observation Wheel, O'Brien Group Ice Skating Arena, Costco supermarket and marinas.
There is a tram stop just outside the hotel that is in the free tram zone of central Melbourne. It is just a short walk or tram ride to the enjoy the boutique shops, department stores, laneway coffee shops and theatres in the CBD of Melbourne, or the night life of SouthBank.
Peppers Docklands provides a range of architecturally unique Hotel Rooms and Premium Suites. The rooms are large, with high quality contemporary European style furniture and fittings. High end premium products and modern conveniences are provided that make for a luxurious stay. The massive king-sized bed is very comfortable with a plentiful supply of various sized pillows to choose from. A wall mural of one of the iconic Melbourne trams features above the bed.
The 40" LCD TV provides a range of free to air digital stations, FOXTEL entertainment and movies to watch. There is free fast WiFi, a DVD player, CD player, digital alarm clock with iPod dock and individually controlled air-conditioning. Tea & coffee making facilities are provided, including a Nespresso machine and coffee pods. And yes, the rooms are very clean.
The spacious bespoke bathroom is large with a relaxing walk-in overhead rain shower, hair dryer and a good range of complementary toiletries.

Staff!
When I stayed at Peppers Docklands I had first hand experience of the high quality staff that are working in this new hotel. There is a good mix of staff who have previous experience working in the hospitality industry and those new to this work area. The reception by the staff is warm, welcoming and professional.
The friendly staff are really helpful and courteous. They treated me as an individual and took a personal interest in my stay there. They checked me in smoothly, showed me to my room and explained its many features. They then escorted me to inspect the pool and gym area. The breakfast staff are polite and cheery when serving the meal. Checkout went smoothly. All the staff are very enthusiastic in their dealings with guests. They have a fantastic attitude and it shows that they enjoy working there.

A small balcony with table and chairs gives the opportunity to sit outside and watch the setting sun.
The stylish on site MOMAMI restaurant and bar showcases a breakfast, brunch and dinner menu infused with the delicate flavours of Asian cuisine. The decor of MOMAMI is brightened by the yellow neon lighting flowing around the ceiling and yellow chairs.
I enjoyed the sophisticated brunch offerings after a restful night's sleep. Thinking the servings would be small, I ordered a cereal and a hot dish. They were so large that I really should have just have ordered one of them as they were so filling and tasty. They even took time to create artwork on top of my cup of coffee.
