San Francisco Zoo to Donate 300 Tickets to Chinatown Seniors

The San Francisco Zoo & Gardens is helping Chinatown community seniors celebrate Lunar New Year by presenting Zoo tickets to 300 seniors on Wednesday, February 17th at 10:30 am. The event brings together Supervisors Aaron Peskin and Jane Kim, representatives of San Francisco Rec and Park and San Francisco Zoo as well as 300 Community Tenants Association members at the Willie Woo Woo Wong Chinese Playground. Special guest Harley, a kinkajou from the Zoo, will also make an appearance for the annual occasion.

In the Year of the Monkey, Zoo visitors are encouraged to check out the Thelma Doelger Primate Discovery Center, home to dozens of unique and engaging monkeys like black howlers and pied tamarins. Seniors enjoy an entire month of specials in February, including 2 for 1 admission. There are two FREE admission days for seniors: February 14th (Valentine’s Day) and February 27th.
