Hotel Openings The Palm Beaches for 2016

The Palm Beaches are the best way to experience Florida, and travelers to the destination have a variety of new hotels in which to stay, outdoor and underwater activities to explore, innovative restaurants to sample, and refreshed, world-class spas for a much needed ahh. Spanning 47 miles of pristine Atlantic Ocean beaches from Boca Raton to Jupiter, 145 miles of tropical waterways, and insurmountable attractions across 2,000 square miles, America's First Resort Destination® is a collection of 38 diverse cities and towns that provide the ultimate wanderlust's experiential expedition.

The new Hilton West Palm Beach is scheduled opened its doors on January 29, 2016. The 400-room hotel is connected to the Palm Beach County Convention Center by an enclosed walkway, and has added a new dimension to the county's tourism appeal. The property offers two ballrooms and eight conference rooms, as well as additional event space. It also features a 225-seat restaurant named “Manor,” which showcases the talents of renowned local chef Matthew Byrne of the acclaimed eatery, Kitchen. The hotel includes a lobby bar called “Galley,' a fitness center and a landscaped pool area with cabanas. Located in the heart of the Convention and Entertainment District, guests are just a few short steps away from CityPlace, which offers a mix of more than 80 national stores, specialty shops, restaurants and entertainment venues.

A new Mandarin Oriental Hotel is planned to debut in downtown Boca Raton in 2017. The property will include two adjacent towers that will form part of an upscale mixed-use development featuring 65,000 square feet of luxury lifestyle retail, as well as a world-class private club, which will offer social, fitness and championship golf amenities.

West Palm Beach is set to become home to one of eight new Canopy by Hilton Hotels, the brand's concept touted as an energized and natural extension of its neighborhood with local design, food & drink, and culture. In May 2016, ground will break for the new 150-room, 14-story hotel, which will be built two blocks from CityPlace.

Boca Raton will welcome The Palm Beaches' third Hyatt Place property in summer 2016 with the opening of the 200-room, 13-story Hyatt Place Boca Raton. The hotel will include an 8,000-square-foot restaurant, as well as 4,000 square feet of meeting space and retail.

The new Residence Inn West Palm Beach Downtown/CityPlace Area is The Palm Beaches' first extended-stay property, boasting spacious suites with fully-equipped kitchens, complimentary breakfast and Wi-Fi. Located in the heart of the casual-urban West Palm Beach downtown, the 152-suite hotel is within walking distance to more than 120 shops and restaurants. The property is only an eight-minute drive from Palm Beach International Airport (PBI).

West Palm Beach continues to attract new hotel developments. An AC Hotels by Marriott, a mid-priced chain targeting young, tech and fashion-savvy travelers, has been flagged for the former city hall site and a Starwood Hotels and Resorts Aloft property is proposed on the northeast corner of Third Street and Rosemary Avenue.
