For those wishing to get in the spirit of Christmas early this year, a Festive High Teawill be served daily in the Fax Bar from mid-November to 3rd January 2016 and offers a range of sweet and savoury treats with a nod to the Christmas season, including turkey and cranberry sandwiches, rum balls and fruit mince tarts. Guests also will be treated to a series of Christmas characters which have been cleverly created by the hotel's food and beverage team to go along with every High Tea.
The Festive High Tea costs $49 per person with tea or coffee, $59 per person with a glass of sparkling wine, or $69 per person with a glass of Champagne.
The hotel's Executive Chef, Oswin Ribeiro is also preparing a relaxed and stress-free, four-course Christmas Dinner with an amuse bouche followed by a choice of three entrees, three mains and two desserts.
Traditionalists will love the stuffed turkey ballotine, with brussel sprouts, baby carrots and cranberry jam followed by the classic Christmas pudding, with brandy sauce and poached cherries. Alternative options include the angel pork loin, with truffle potato puree, pear slaw, crackling and apple jus and a mango, strawberry and poppy seed torte with sugar pearls and chili jam.
The Christmas Dinner, which also includes tea and coffee and a range of petit fours, costs $105 per person with a glass of wine for adults and $45 per person for children with a juice or soft drink.
Counting down the days to Christmas, Radisson Blu Hotel Sydney will launch its “12 Days of Blu Christmas” Instagram and Facebook competition on 1st December. Each day a new Christmas themed photo will be posted by the hotel – to win the prize of a two night stay at any of the Radisson Blu hotels throughout the world, followers simply need to like or share the photo and post a comment to go into a draw.
In addition guests and Sydney Christmas shoppers can pop into the hotel, conveniently located on the corner of Pitt, Hunter and O'Connell streets, and take a photo of the decorations and post on the Radisson Blu Instagram or Facebook pages making sure to use the #12daysofBlu and @RadissonBluSydney handle.
