The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is preparing to stage the Bangkok Jazz Night by the River for the second consecutive year at Santichaiprakarn Park on Phra Arthit Road overlooking the majestic Chao Phraya River from 25-26 December, 2015.
Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of TAT said, “The tremendous success of the inaugural event last year had turned the Bangkok Jazz Night by the River into one of Thailand’s biggest music events of its kind. So this year, TAT aims to stage an even bigger event with a long list of well-known jazz musicians from around the world as well as a large number of Thailand’s leading jazz bands and singers. This event will surely be an extraordinary warm-up weekend event before the New Year celebrations.”
This jazz event will feature the Pavilion stage and Chao Phraya stage for different styles of jazz music performances. TAT will also organise tourism zones that will highlight the unique Thai cultures and traditions from different parts of the country as well as promote interesting tourist attractions from all over the kingdom through interactive displays. Booths selling special package tours will also be available.
For the jazz music performances, highlights are the performances by Jonathan Fritzen featuring Camila Lundstedt, Juliana Da Silva, Thailand International Jazz Summit lead by Jeremy Monteiro – known as the King of Swing from Singapore, Shawn Kelly – a world renown drummer from the US, Ami Nakazono – saxophonist from Japan, and Benny Golbin – a saxophonist from the US.
