1st day
Let’s start with a nice breakfast in one of the traditional café & restaurants in the city center and experience the taste of the strudel (“rétes”)!You might have had strudel (“rétes”) before, but with duck leg, grilled venison or catfish? One truly unique experience. When entering the restaurant you’ll right away bump into the strudel-making station, where you can watch the experts at work stretching the dough and filling the delicious treats.
After enjoying some strudel, let’s have a visit to the Great Market Hall or Central Market Hall.
This famous covered market, a cast iron building opened in 1897 and renovated completely for its 100th anniversary ranks among the largest food markets in Europe. You can start in the basement where you can taste the famous Hungarian sour vegetables and visit the oriental stores. The ground floor is filled with food shops (vegetables, fruits, fresh meats and processed meat products). Climbing the stairs to the gallery, you can find goods on this level which are mainly gifts, souvenirs and wines. Here you can enjoy a selection of typical Hungarian cold and hot appetizers such as: various sausages, salamis, ham, different cheeses, baguette with “körözött” (curd cheese flavored with onion, red-pepper and salt), fresh vegetables, “lángos” (salty dough), paprika-potatoes, stuffed cabbage and drinks.
After lunch in a centrally located fancy restaurant, we continue our trip to the Vigadó.
The beautifully restored and renovated building in the heart of Budapest opened its doors in the middle of March in 2014 to become a unique venue for conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners and all kind of events. It awaits the guests on 6 floors with several meeting rooms in different sizes. The building of Vigadó is located on the Danube Promenade a few minutes away from hotels such as Budapest Marriott Hotel, InterContinental Budapest, Sofitel Budapest Chain Bridge, Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest and Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest.
To reach our next point of visit, Széchenyi Bath that is located in the City Park next to Heroes’ Square, we take the Millennium Underground.
Széchenyi Thermal Bath, winner of the Hungarian Quality Product Award is one of the largest spa complexes of its kind in Europe and was the first bath to be built in Pest on the left bank of the Danube. Built in a modern renaissance style between 1909 and 1913, the medicinal waters of the Széchenyi Spa are sourced from a depth of 1,246m, the second deepest well in Budapest, its temperature being 76°C. The total water surface of the spa is 2,700 m². Besides the outdoor and indoor geothermal pools, you can enjoy massage treatments, the saunas, the gym, relax by the pools or even taste the natural waters. Széchenyi Thermal Bath provides an unforgettable and relaxing program for you.
We spend the dinner in one of the trendy, fine-dining restaurants of the city.
After a pleasant dinner, we continue the night with a cruise on the river Danube which divides the city of Budapest into two parts, Buda and Pest. The boat is cruising for an hour between Margaret Bridge and Rákóczi Bridge so you can enjoy the fascinating sights of the illuminated Budapest while having a glass of champagne. Starting the trip from Vigadó Square the sights you see on the Pest side heading to Margaret Bridge are the Chain Bridge with the five star hotels located around Széchenyi Square, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Parliament. After the boat turns to South on the Buda side you have a chance to see the Castle area with all of its beauties, the Matthias Church, the Fisherman's Bastion, the Funicular, the National Gallery, the Castle Garden Bazaar, the Gellért Hill with Citadel and Statue of Liberty etc.
As we turn back to Vigadó Square on your right-hand side you see the Palace of Arts, the National Theatre, the Whale (Bálna), the Great Market Hall etc.
The hot springs feeding the thermal pools rise from the wells of the nearby Lukács Baths and from Margaret Island. Though the bath's thermal water is known for its healing powers, you don't have to have any ailments to appreciate it. Visiting VeliBej is a fun and pleasant way to wind down and relax the body and mind in a historic setting.
Let’s continue with a unique team building experience! Discover the hidden face of Budapest and experience the newest wave of entertainment in the largest escape room park in Europe, located in a unique, industrial surrounding. It provides 6 escape rooms, with different style and story behind, created in a 400 m2 basement. The groups (2-6 persons) have to solve locks, codes and puzzles, using their logic, creativity and imagination. The only way to succeed is to cooperate as a team: besides its fun factor it makes people get together and ensures unforgettable memories.
The dinner is taking place in a traditional restaurant in the city center.
After the dinner, enjoy the cool night life of the city in the Gozsdu Courtyard where several restaurants and bars are awaiting you. Strolling along Kazinczy Street you can find many ruin pubs which have been very popular since their birth among local people and tourists as well.

The Hungarian State Opera House is the masterpiece of MiklósYbl, one of the greatest Hungarian architects of all time. The Opera was opened in 1884. The building is a splendid example of the neo-Renaissance style, while its rich ornaments also show a few baroque elements. To raise your experience even further, you can enjoy a surprise concert with champagne cocktail during the tour. Located on the elegant Andrássy Avenue you will find numerous other sights, restaurants and cafes in the neighbourhood.
Our next program point is an exciting way to get to know Budapest, called iBudapest. Our small group is split into two teams. Each team receives an iPad and a code. After opening the iPad you will get a message that you have to decode. This will be the description of a station. With some logic and with the help of a map, you have to find the station, type it into the iPad, if the system accepts it, the team can go to that station. You will go through 4 stations where you have to solve some tasks and you collect points. In the end both teams win since you all learn a lot about Budapest.
After the iPad rally, it is nice to have an aperitif in a place located in the Fisherman’s Bastion. The highest observation terrace is the Margaréta Terrace. Here, you can admire the full panorama while sipping your drinks (mulled wine, hot chocolate, tea or rum punch in winter; or chilled refreshments in summer).

The facility offers a large octagonal, hot-water thermal pool, surrounded by four smaller thermal pools with different temperatures, a modern swimming pool, a Jacuzzi and a special bathtub for hydrotherapies. The wellness section is equipped with steam baths and various saunas, including an infra-sauna. Massages are also available. The main attraction here is without a doubt the traditional octagonal pool under the Turkish dome.

3rd day
On the 3rd day we are going out of the city. We go on a tour to Gödöllő, a settlement close to Budapest, to the Royal Palace which was the residence of the Habsburg Royal Couple (Emperor Franz Joseph and Queen Elisabeth) during the second half of the 19th century. During the visit you will have a chance to gain insight into the largest baroque building complex in Hungary - including the apartments of the royal couple, the beautiful ballroom and the baroque theatre. The Royal Palace can accommodate different type and size of events also.
After the visit of the Royal Palace we go to the New Tanyacsárda which can be found 63 kms from Budapest on a 50 hectares area near the small-town, Lajosmizse on the Great Hungarian Plain. The Hungarian welcome and horse show is followed by an authentic Hungarian lunch escorted with good Hungarian wines and gipsy music. Coupling with a glass of wine you can enjoy an unforgettable atmosphere.
After lunch we are heading back to Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport where we say good bye to you and we do hope that we can welcome you soon in our beautiful city and country!
