Triple Gold for Atura Albury and a Triple Win for Regional Australian Tourism

Atura Albury
Mid-market, multi-award winning design hotel brand Atura helped cement regional Albury as a tourism destination by winning not one, but three top industry awards at the NSW Tourism Accommodation Awards (TAA) for Excellence held in Sydney on Wednesday night.

Following in the footsteps of the brand's flagship Atura Blacktown property who took the same title in 2014, Atura Albury was awarded NSW's Best Mid-Range Accommodation Award. Atura Albury's popular Roadhouse Bar & Grill was also awarded 'Best Bar Regional Property' and 'Best Brasserie/Café'.

The 2015 TAA (NSW) Awards for Excellence, is a prestigious ceremony held annually to celebrate the achievements of the state's leading hospitality providers and these wins secure Atura Albury places in the annual Australian Hotel Association awards in which they'll be up against the best from each state.

“We're thrilled with these award wins for our second Atura Hotel property in Albury. Since opening the first Atura in 2013 we've been overwhelmed by the positive response to the brand's unique design-led, high value approach,' said Jodi Brown, General Manager Atura Albury. 'We're also delighted with the impact these wins will have for Albury which has a number of exciting tourism and art developments underway including the launch of the MAMA Art Gallery in September this year.'

A significant part of the Albury landscape since the hotel property first opened in 1971 by Gough Whitlam, in 2014 refurbishment of the former Rydges Albury began to rebrand it to high value, high design and personality driven, Atura Albury which then opened in January 2015.

Atura's edgy, high-energy, high value, industrial styling and exemplary service standards are bolstered further by the addition of a broad range of complimentary extras - all part of the standard hotel offering. The latest technology, free Wi-Fi, coffee pod machines in every room, bathroom amenities by New York's Malin+Goetz and car parking name but a few of the extras guests would usually expect to pay more for.

"We are delighted with the recognition this award provides to the Atura Hotels and to Regional Australian Tourism in general,” said Group Managing Director, AHL David Seargeant. “Being presented with this award amongst such a high calibre of finalists only serves to reaffirm our commitment to develop more Atura Hotel properties around Australia.”
