Affordable Family Adventure in Port Stephens

Families can enjoy an affordable but adventure-packed escape in Port Stephens thanks to a new accommodation deal offered by the beachside Fingal Bay Holiday Park and a ‘dunes and dolphins’ package combining the two favourite activities in Port Stephens – dolphin cruises and sliding down Australia’s biggest sand dunes.

The new deals are part of the ‘Love Nature – Love Port Stephens’ campaign launched by local tourism operators and supported by Destination Port Stephens to promote the appeal of the region’s scenery and wildlife in the cooler months.

Located in the heart of Port Stephens, the dog-friendly Fingal Bay Holiday Park is surrounded by national park and is just 100m from a patrolled surf beach. Guests can stay in garden villas for just $112.50 per family, per night for midweek bookings. The deal, which includes a 10 per cent discount, excludes public holidays, long weekends and NSW school holidays, and is valid for minimum two-night stays until September 18, 2015. Weekend stays cost from $160 per villa per night.

Tamboi Queen Cruises and 4WD Tours R Us have joined forces to offer a ‘Dunes and Dolphins’ package, allowing families to try sandboarding on the biggest sand dunes in Australia and join a dolphin watch cruise from $161 per family (two adults and two children). Tamboi Queen Cruises offers a number of cruises with multiple departure times, with vessels featuring 360 degree, split-level viewing decks to ensure the best views possible. 4WD Tours R Us run dune adventures daily in the Worimi Conservation Lands which protect the largest sand dunes in Australia, soaring up to 40m.

Known for its beaches, wildlife and famous blue waterways, Port Stephens has become a popular year-round tourist destination for the whole family.
