TIE 2015 OPENS WITH RECORD NUMBERS

Sri Lanka
Marking the second anniversary of The Travel Industry Exhibition, the show floors were abuzz yesterday with travel professionals impressed with the large and diverse range of suppliers both new and well-known to the Australian market.

In spite of the rainy start to the day, TIE had a great turn out in visitor numbers and with over 120 exhibiting companies from across the globe, there was plenty of new conversation to be had.

Exhibitors launched new and innovative travel products and services and ran competitions which saw a number of enviable prize giveaways.

Seminars were packed out with highlights including a captivating panel of bloggers led by PR expert Prue MacSween delivering practical blogging tips and tools to an eager audience, Twitter know-how with Holly Galbraith and crucial insights with Facebook into successful travel brands and how they utilise social platforms.

Today's program includes a crowd-drawing line up of speakers including TripAdvisor's Jessica Quinlan, Brek Batley from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAT) and Rick Myatt from AFTA.
