Collaboration with Positively Wellington Venues (PWV) regularly sees Wellington hosting large scale events like the 21st Annual Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authorities Council (AFAC) in 2014. The majority of the 900 delegates were from Australia, with the remaining travelling domestically. The conference was held across three venues - Shed 6, TSB Bank Arena and Michael Fowler Centre , as well as their gala dinner held at Te Papa Tongarewa.

The 5 star InterContinental Wellington has just completed its multi-million dollar luxury upgrade with new Deluxe and Club InterContinental Guest Rooms, and a world-class Club Lounge. The remodel of the Lobby Lounge, Chameleon Restaurant and reception offer new decor and innovative dining.

Wellington Functions offer a uniquely indigenous perspective of the capital city by waka (Māori Canoe) or by foot with Te Wharewaka o Pōneke. The ability to learn the history and significance of New Zealand waka, paddling techniques, calls or chants and the haka, make for a great team building exercise and cultural experience.

EPICURE Westpac Stadium or fondly known by locals as “the cake tin” will be on hand to showcase their newest venue space. With unsurpassed views looking out over Wellington harbour, this popular space provides the perfect contemporary setting, offering a range of tasty food and beverage as you relax with your delegates. You won't miss the Stadium action either with two large screens keeping you in touch with the play. The Mezzanine Bar will be open for your enjoyment during most public events or as a private space, with access from the Concourse between aisles 25 and 26.
