For those looking to “kick it like Jackie Chan,” CNN and China have you covered.

A recent article in CNN outlines some of the best places throughout China to learn martial arts.

Sasha Matuszak, a journalist producing a documentary on Chinese kung fu called “The New Masters,” suggests Shaolin, the Buddhist community that is considered the original hometown of Chinese martial arts.

The Shaolin Temple in Henan province, set among forest at Song Mountain, is not only picturesque and prime for tourism, but an ideal place to watch wushu masters or visit the Shaolin Temple Tagou Wushu School, which claims to have 35,000 students.

The article also notes Wudang Mountain in China’s Hubei province, which teaches taijiquan, a style of martial arts that marries kung fu with Taoist principles.

The area is also largely untouched and geographically beautiful.
