Tree Top Walk celebrates 18th birthday

The Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk will be recognised for its success as a major tourist attraction when it celebrates its 18th birthday on Saturday, November 29. Climbing 40 metres into the forest canopy and meandering through the treetops for 600 metres, the walk trail is the first of its kind and offers a peaceful and exhilarating experience. Located in WA's South West in the Great Southern region, the Tree Top Walk was built in 1996 by the State Government as a land management tool designed to provide a unique forest experience, and to minimise the impact of visitors on the tingle trees in the Valley of the Giants forest. The walk is an icon of the local region and one of the most sustainable forest tourism facilities in the world.
