SANTAFEST CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS UNDERWAY AT DARLING HARBOUR

December has seen the launch of Santafest, Australia’s biggest Christmas celebration, on and around Darling Harbour in Sydney.

The month-long festival will be packed with events and attractions for the whole family, with the highlight being fireworks every Saturday night at Cockle Bay.

In addition to this there will be paddleboat rides, Christmas carols, a mailbox for Santa letters, colouring-in competitions for the kids and the Variety Santa Fun Run.

One of the new additions to the festival in 2014 is a series of free Santa Movies on Friday and Saturday nights (at 6.30pm and 5.30pm respectively) at the Darling Quarter Village Green.

Films screened will be Christmas-themed and on Christmas Eve there will be a special movie night with Miracle on 34th Street scheduled to be shown.

The festival will run from November 29 until Christmas Eve on December 24.
