Nanshan Big and Small Caves

Nanshan is a park in China with 800 years of history starting with the Song Dynasty, where you could find beautiful oceans, mountains and tropical plants. There are many dragon trees in this park, with the oldest one being 6,400 years old.

Nanshan Big and Small Caves encompass an area of more than 20 sq km beside the seashore and it is near Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone, about 20 km west of Sanya City. The caves provide visitors with an alternative world to discover Sanya and are of archeological significance with relics dating to Tang Dynasty. When visiting Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone, take a few minutes extra to explore the nearby caves to enhance your experience.

It's one of first tourist attractions in Hainan to get 5A rating. With a majestic view of the sea, the mountains and rocks, it is said to be the No.1 Landscape Attraction. The spot attracts about a million tourists each year. Primarily presenting Cultural heritage of ancient Hainan, traditional Chinese culture like Taoist culture and Dragon culture, it is an international attraction for scientific education, recreation and appreciation of folk culture.

Notes on Tickets:The full fare is 130RMB/person. The price regulation fund is 5RMB/time. A 50% discount is available for students of primary schools, middle schools, colleges, the elderly between 60-70 years old, kids between 1.2 m and 1.4m. It’s free for the elderly 70 years above, enlisted servicemen, and kids below 1.2 m. It’s 31 RMB/person for the tourists with a Hainan ID card.
