Bound Round Announced as Tournament's Tourism Information Partner

Interactive kid's travel app Bound Round is thrilled to be the Tourism Information Partner for the Kanga Cup to be held in Canberra from 6-11 July 2014.

Bound Round CEO and Founder, Janeece Keller said it was exciting to partner with the much loved local event which is the largest International Youth Football Tournament in the Southern Hemisphere.

“Canberra has amazing attractions and experiences for kids and we're so excited to be partnering with the Kanga Cup to help visiting players make the most out of their visit to the area,” Ms. Keller said.

Sam Irvine, Business Manager at Capital Football said the Kanga Cup brings a huge number of visitors to the Nation's Capital in July of every year

“Through the assistance of Bound Round we are able to further expose all of Canberra's attractions and natural sites to these visitors,” Mr. Irvine said.

“The unique ability of Bound Round to portray these attractions to the younger population makes this mobile application an invaluable tool for events such as ours. Furthermore, their ability to create engaging video content provides an extremely important communication tool for us,” Mr. Irvine said.

A strong supporter of kids' sport, Bound Round is also a travel content partner of the International Children's Games (ICG) to be held in Lake Macquarie, NSW in December this year.

The ICG is the largest multi-sport youth games in the world and a member of the International Olympic Committee. Lake Macquarie was the first Australian city to compete in the ICG and will be the first city in the Southern Hemisphere to host the games.

Bound Round is made by kids, for kids and features videos with kids giving the inside tips on

what's best to do at the destination, so children can see firsthand what's on offer at their chosen city.

In the Kanga Cup's 24th year, over 270 teams of more than 4,000 participants from Australia and overseas meet in Canberra for a week of football, culture, fun and friendship like no other.

The week-long event proudly champions the mission of 'Uniting the Youth of the World through Football'.

The tournament is open to club, school, association or community based teams that are part of the International Football Family, and caters for male and female youth ranging from 9 years to 18 years of age.

The Kanga Cup is run by Capital Football, the governing body for football in Canberra, and sanctioned by the Football Federation Australia and the Asian Football Confederation.

App Specifics

Bound Round is designed by and for 8-12 year olds to play with before and during their visit to a destination.

By capturing if they want to visit a specific location, the app provides parents with feedback from the kids on the activities they really want to do when they get there and then provides information on how to get there and opening hours.

When the kids are in a location they can create and share their own photos as e-postcards with family and friends. They can also record their adventures through text and images in the “Journal” section of the app.

The Bound Round interactive travel app is designed for iPhone and iPad and can be downloaded for free via WiFi and 3G through the iTunes App Store. Detailed destination guides already included in the app are: Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Gold Coast, Uluru, Fiji, Hong Kong, Singapore, Blue Mountains and Phillip Island.
