In its seventh year of operation, Eureka Skydeck continues to provide patrons with unparalleled views of Melbourne as well as a popular online platform to share inspiring images take from the spectacular vantage point.
Eureka Skydeck – located on the 88th floor of Melbourne's iconic Eureka Tower in Southbank – is the highest public viewing platform in the Southern Hemisphere.
Eureka Skydeck encourages customers to share their experiences of Melbourne with the world by uploading captivating photos of the city to social media. Over 10,000 photos of the city taken from 285m above ground at the tourist attraction have been uploaded to social media platforms in 2014 so far.
As well as people sharing their own photographs taken from the observation deck, Eureka Skydeck has its own official Facebook page with over 75,000 'likes,' making it one of the most 'liked' Victorian tourist attractions on the web. Photos uploaded to the Eureka Skydeck page are often shared by Tourism Australia and City of Melbourne on their own Facebook pages.
Eureka Skydeck's Facebook page also promotes Melbourne's events and festivals as well as significant landmarks and weather developments. Situated in a city known for having four seasons in one day, Eureka Skydeck often plays host to television and online news programs keen to film and photograph Melbourne's unpredictable weather.
Eureka Skydeck will present at next month's Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE), Australia's largest annual travel and tourism business-to-business event. Throughout ATE Eureka Skydeck will showcase its offering as one of Melbourne's most popular and cost effective tourist attractions, allowing patrons to see the exceptional sights of the city from above for under $20 per person.
