NFL CHINA'S SUPER BOWL PARTY RETURNS TO KERRY HOTEL PUDONG

Fans in China have come to recognize watching the Super Bowl as a true test of one’s NFL loyalty, gathering together in sports bars, living rooms or huddling around office computers early on Monday morning to catch kick-off. This year will be no different and with the game falling during the Chinese New Year holiday, fans can enjoy the game without having to return to work the same day. For the third straight year, Kerry Hotel Pudong has partnered with NFL China to celebrate the conclusion of another successful season with a Super Bowl party on Monday, February 3.

In a game that routinely attracts over 100 million TV viewers in America alone and is broadcast in over 200 countries, the Super Bowl is undoubtedly one of the world’s biggest sporting events. Fans will enjoy the complete pageantry of what has been deemed an unofficial holiday in America with the live US feed of the game being broadcast on gigantic LED screens in the Kerry Hotels’ ballroom. The broadcast at the Kerry Hotels will include the always entertaining halftime show featuring a performance by Bruno Mars and the much-anticipated Super Bowl commercials – most which cost advertisers USD $4 million per 30-second spot and are as much an attraction on their own as the game itself.

The Grand Shanghai Ballroom at Kerry Hotel Pudong will be transformed into a fully interactive football zone. Family-friendly activities like the Quarterback Toss and the Wide Receiver Challenge set-up for attendees to try their hand at the sport.

The road to Super Bowl XLVIII kicked off with a thrilling Wildcard Weekend full of upsets. Second-year quarterback Andrew Luck led the Indianapolis Colts to a stunning 28-point comeback victory over the favored Kansas City Chiefs. The Drew Brees and Sean Payton led-New Orleans Saints showed that experienced trumped youth in their last second road victory against the Philadelphia Eagles. The upstart San Diego Chargers shocked the Cincinnati Bengals winning their fifth game in a row while the San Francisco 49ers triumphed over the Green Bay Packers with a last-second field goal in a battle between a couple of the league’s most decorated franchises. Meanwhile franchise quarterbacks Peyton Manning (Denver Broncos), Tom Brady (New England Patriots), Russell Wilson (Seattle Seahawks) and Cam Newton (Carolina Panthers) are waiting for next weekend’s divisional round.
