Scotiabank Convention Centre will be transformed with the high-energy buzz of a trading pit when some of the world’s most influential travel buyers descend on Niagara Falls, ON, May 26-29, 2015, to check out Canadian tourism offerings, broker deals and close sales at Rendez-vous Canada.
Thousands of face-to-face meetings between international buyers and Canadian sellers of exceptional tourism products take place at Rendez-vous Canada annually, with hundreds of millions of dollars coming to Canadian businesses. Last year’s event sealed close to $400 million in contracts, supporting close to 610,000 jobs in Canada that depend on tourism spending.
“We felt strongly that Niagara Falls would be one of the most awesome destinations for the biggest tourism trade show in Canada simply because it is so iconic—the birthplace of Canadian tourism known around the world and a tremendous draw for visitors, says Interim CTC President and CEO Greg Klassen. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for some of the world’s top travel buyers to experience first-hand the amazing tourism experiences Canada offers.”
“Having Niagara Falls chosen for this prestigious tourism economic development event is great news, says Vittoria A. Wikston, Director, Business Development, Niagara Falls Tourism. We recognize that this is a bold undertaking, but more important, it’s a clear expression of CTC’s commitment to support Niagara Falls as a primary demand-generator for inbound visitation to Canada. Niagara Falls Tourism and its tourism partners look forward to working seamlessly with CTC to ensure RVC 2015 is a resounding success.”
Tourism is one of the fastest-growing economic sectors in the world, with global travellers spending over one trillion dollars annually—or two million dollars every minute.
