The Magic of Christmas is Coming to Monaco

Monaco is preparing for the festive season with a range of different Christmas festivities including the annual Christmas village, a lighting ceremony, Gala Dinners and much more.

This year's Christmas Village will open on 5th December with this year's theme being "The Enchanted Streets". The Christmassy stalls will be lined up along the Quai Albert 1er offering a fabulous setting with stunning views over "Port Hercules", Monaco's famous port hosting the world's most luxurious yachts. What visitors love most about Monaco's Christmas market is its authenticity and flair which is due to the government's effort to make the "Christmas village" not just a commercial area but to foster a constant change of its surroundings where the decoration - which is renewed every year - and the animations are genuine and reflect Monaco's values and traditions. Many different activities are planned - creative workshops, street parades and much more. A special evening event is scheduled for New Year's Eve with a DJ and fireworks display.

To pay tribute to its 150th anniversary Monte-Carlo SBM will showcase a lighting Ceremony in Monte-Carlo. Adriana Karembeu and the Société des Bains de Mer invite you to the Place du Casino on 6 December 2013 at 6.30 p.m. for the switching on of the Christmas lights. The Place du Casino will be decorated with the traditional illuminated Christmas trees and will be lit in gold and white to pay homage to the magical dream world of the Société des Bains de Mer. This bespoke display epitomises of the magic of Christmas and is a reflection of dreams and elegance - a fitting tribute to the 150th anniversary of the Monte-Carlo SBM resort. The Place du Casino will also be decorated with the traditional illuminated Christmas trees and will be lit in gold and white to pay homage to the magical dream world of the Société des Bains de Mer.
