Enjoy all the Fun of the Fair at one of Germany’s Oldest Festival in Bremen

The Hanseatic city of Bremen is hosting the 978th Freimarkt fair, one of Germany’s oldest festivals, from 18 October to 3 November 2013. For the best part of a thousand years, Bremen has celebrated the Freimarkt, known as the ‘fifth season’, in the last weeks of October at the Bürgerweide fairground.

Numerous fairground rides and beer tents and a huge range of food stalls delight around four million visitors every year. What’s more, the Little Freimarkt on the market square offers old-fashioned rides and a historical market against the magnificent backdrop of the UNESCO World Heritage Town Hall and Roland statue.
