Brighten
your weekend with a visit to the Cook Islands Cultural Showcase in
Sydney at the National Maritime Museum at Darling Harbour on Saturday 4
May - and you could find yourself travelling to this undiscovered South
Pacific paradise soon.
The free all-day event features fun
and vibrant cultural shows on the hour from 11am to 3pm. Be entertained
by spectacular Cook Island dancers and drummers, cooking demonstrations
and tastings, displays of pareu (sarong) tying and floral head garland
making, and learn about the Cook Island Maoris' intricate Polynesian
tattoos during the free 40 minute shows.
Sample the Cook
Islands' new natural skin care range Te Tika, meet the warm and
welcoming locals visiting from the main visitor islands of Rarotonga,
Aitutaki and Atiu and take advantage of the special travel deals being
offered exclusively for the day.
One lucky visitor will
