From 24 April until 19 May, 35 exclusive sculptures honouring the Jamison Valley rainforest will be on display in the outdoor gallery at Scenic World.
Artworks created across the Mountains and as far as America and Ireland have been delicately installed to respond to and reflect the moods of the environment.
Scenic World's Joint Managing Directors, David and Anthea Hammon, said: "together with the new $30 million Scenic Railway, this year's exhibition will be one of the major highlights of Australia's cultural calendar".
Along with the dynamic artworks positioned along the 2.4km Scenic Walkway, Sculpture at Scenic World includes:
- Public Programmes featuring sculpture workshops for childrenwith exhibiting artists, free evening lectures, artist talks and guided tours;
- New artworks featuring digital, sound and light,; and
- The inaugural Sculpture Otherwise, an indoor exhibition displaying works from some of the exhibiting artists.
Exhibition Manager, Lizzy Marshall said this exhibition showcases the diversity of the exhibiting artists' skills.
"Sculpture at Scenic World 2013 will continue to be an exhibition of outstanding artistic and cultural value while maintaining its landmark integrity, principles and innovation," Ms Marshall said.
Sculpture at Scenic World 2013, offers a $20,000 acquisitive award, the new $5000 Artist Peer Award, a $2000 Scenic World Staff Choice Awardand The Carrington Hotel's $1000 People's Choice Award.
Scenic World has also releaseda series of special overnight exhibition packages, starting at $207.50 for couples and $299 for families, at a collection of iconic Blue Mountains hotels and resorts.
