International Travellers to India to Benifit from Multi-lingual Helpline

A multi-lingual helpline will be set up in India to aid international tourists and provide them with general information related to the country. The helpline will be in the languages of the important source countries besides Hindi and English and will start functioning from 2013. It has already been approaved by the Indian Union Tourism Minister Shri K. Chiranjeevi who instructed that the helpline should be accessible from every part of the country.

The aim is to provide all kinds of tourism related information to free independent travellers from all over the world. The proposal was announced in the presence of representatives of various leading travel trade associations.
