HUNTER TO HOST A-LEAGUE FANS

Newcastle and the wider Hunter region will be on show to thousands of football fans this weekend, as the Newcastle Jets host Melbourne Victory in the A-League Grand Final.

It is the first final to be held outside of a metropolitan city and with tickets already sold out, Football Federation Australia are encouraging fans who missed out to watch the action at two live sites at King Edward Park in Newcastle and Speers Point Park in Lake Macquarie

For fans making a weekend of it, there is plenty to see and do in Newcastle and the surrounding Hunter and Port Stephens regions. Whether it’s sand boarding in Stockton, visiting a winery in the Hunter Valley or enjoying one of the many stunning beaches in Port Stephens, there is something for everyone.
