KASEY CHAMBERS
The awesome 2017 Broadbeach Country Music Festival (July 28-30) will kick off in less than three weeks, featuring a stunning line-up of huge international superstars AMERICA, plus Aussie icons KASEY CHAMBERS, TROY CASSAR-DALEY and SHANE NICHOLSON. Joining these headliners are Australia’s Got Talent stars THE WOLFE BROTHERS, multi award-winning SARA STORER, along with CAITLYN SHADBOLT, TOMATO TOMATO (Canada) and DREW MCALISTER.

Now in its 5th year, the Broadbeach Country Music Festival is completely free, and offers more than 110 live performances across 12 stages, including two brand new beachside stages. The beautiful Gold Coast is the perfect location for more than 30,000 locals and visitors to enjoy some of the world’s most popular country stars.

Did you know? Queensland is the Home of Country Music! Sure, it’s famed for epic beaches and island idylls, but outside of Nashville, the state that discovered Keith Urban has earned a reputation for hosting a line-up of stellar country music events, including the largest international country and roots festival in the Southern Hemisphere.

What’s more, according to a 2017 poll by KIX Country radio network, Queensland leads the field when it comes to popular country music festivals in Australia, with Broadbeach Country Music Festival plugged as ‘the new kid on the block’ to watch!

Broadbeach Country Music Festival is just one of more than 100 events on the It’s Live! In Queensland calendar. Don’t miss any of the action: www.queensland.com/events

Broadbeach Country Music Festival is proud to be supporting Variety as our Official Charity Partner, an organisation which empowers Queensland children who are sick, disadvantaged or who have special needs, to live, laugh and learn.

Variety’s work allows children to gain mobility and freedom, to get out and about in the community, to communicate, achieve independence and increase self-esteem, and where possible, assistance to help them integrate into mainstream school and activities.

Every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential, regardless of their ability or background and that’s where Variety steps in, they fill the gap when government support isn’t available.

Variety’s most iconic fundraising event is the Variety Bash, a driving adventure in pre-1976 cars. It's an event like no other, taking you to places you've never heard of, let alone been to, in support of kids in need.

Variety will have some of their colourful Bash cars on display in Kurruwa Park , their volunteers will also be equipped with donation tap points, so you can make an easy donation with just the tap of your credit or debit card, to help all children reach their full potential no matter the obstacles they may face.

Broadbeach Alliance Chief Executive Officer Jan McCormick says, “We are proud to support such a worthwhile cause that benefits children nationwide especially in regional areas. The plan is to grow our association into a long term partnership with Variety which in turn allows us to give back as much as we can in the process."

This year the country is truly meeting the coast, as the festival introduces its very first beachside stages, the Kurrawa Big Top and the Kurrawa Caravan. Amazing headliners performing in the Big Top include THE WOLFE BROTHERS, TROY CASSAR-DALEY and SARA STORER. The Kurrawa Caravan is an entertainment space in Kurrawa Park that will also feature a bunch of performances. Visitors will also be able to enjoy a beachside beverage and food truck style area within the park.

The festival is perfect for both families and party-goers, as the streets and parks are ‘no alcohol zones’ while local bars and restaurants are open for festival-goers to dine like the locals do. So, grab the family or some friends and have a weekend away, enjoying some free music, warm vibes, beautiful sights, and great company.

The festival is also proud to announce an awesome addition to the program, Country Music Cocktails. With world-class food and drinks, a load of artists playing live and a hefty dose of glamour, this has become one of the must-attend events for passionate country fans. Now in its fifth year and with more than 4,000 Facebook fans, this little event is not so little anymore.

With focus on the fan experience, Broadbeach Country Music Festivalhave decided to bring cocktails to the beach. This year’s festival will see this event staged for the first time outside Tamworth, allowing coastal fans the chance to enjoy more than 25 artists playing live on Saturday the 29th, between 12pm-3pm, in the luxury of the Sofitel Broadbeach and its critically acclaimed Room81 Bar and Restaurant. Normally Country Music Cocktails is a ticketed event, but at Broadbeach, visitors get to enjoy it completely free!

“We are excited to have Country Music Cocktails joining the Program,” said Festival Director Mark Duckworth. “As well as festival fans checking in with the talents of successful artists, we hope the show will put a spotlight on some of the emerging talent coming out of South East Queensland and Australia into the future.”

The world-class calibre of the line-up at the Broadbeach Country Music Festival is exemplified by international headliners AMERICA, and Aussie icon TROY CASSAR-DALEY. To add to the fun, the two acts have performed together before – nearly 10 years ago!
TROY CASSAR-DALEY
“I supported America back in 1998, if you believe it or not. It was a long time ago supporting them as a young bloke and now we get to be on the bill together all that time later!” said Troy. “To see them again and have found memories of opening up for them when I was very, very young…It really makes you appreciate the journey."

Make sure to catch both headliners’ rocking performances throughout the Broadbeach precinct.
