SAAVY STUDENTS VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME AT ATE17

The next generation of NSW tourism and event professionals are out in force this week as ATE volunteers.

Fifty students from TAFE Ultimo, TAFE Loftus and William Blue College of Hospitality Management are on-site assisting delegates with event registration, wayfinding and enquiries.

Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer Sandra Chipchase said, “Volunteering at ATE provides the students with a great opportunity to complement their studies in tourism and event management. As the host city, Destination NSW is delighted to receive their invaluable support and to provide them with a behind-the-scenes experience at Australia’s largest tourism industry event.”

The helpful and friendly troupe are wearing bright pink t-shirts and can be found at the Destination NSW information booth located in the ICC Sydney Foyer. They can also be found in hotel foyers assisting delegates with early morning hotel transfers.
