KICK BACK WITH COUNTRY ICONS...ON THE GOLD COAST

  • A PICTURE PERFECT GOLD COAST GETAWAY…
  • BROADBEACH COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL 2017
Presented by the Broadbeach Alliance, which holds stunning FREE beachside festivals throughout the streets, parks, bars and restaurants of Broadbeach on the Gold Coast, the Broadbeach Country Music Festival runs over three days (July 28-30) and is now in its 5th year. The event draws more than 30,000 visitors from across Australia and overseas – it is the perfect way to escape the chill of winter, and enjoy some great music.

New Zealand is the highest stated country of birth for Gold Coast residents, after Australia – it’s a hotspot for Kiwis! The Broadbeach Country Music Festival uses the stunning beachfront and surrounding areas as its venues, offering visitors a relaxed getaway and free world-class entertainment. The surrounding suburbs of Surfers Paradise, Burleigh Heads and Coolangatta will give holiday-makers a laid-back escape and beautiful scenery, while the restaurants, shops and cafes surrounding the Festival provide days of entertainment.

And what better setting to kick back to some stellar country tunes, than the beautiful beachfront of Broadbeach. NZ visitors can enjoy the ease of direct flights to the Gold Coast from Auckland, Christchurch, Queenstown and Wellington, as well as a huge range of accommodation options to suit any style or budget, from caravan parks to six star hotels and resorts. The options are endless, and with the light rail connecting Southport and Surfers Paradise to the main Festival hub in Broadbeach, travelling to and from the event has never been easier.

The star-studded 2017 Broadbeach Country Music Festival line-up will feature international superstar act AMERICA...plus KASEY CHAMBERS, TROY CASSAR-DALEY, and SHANE NICHOLSON. Joining these world-class headliners are Australia’s Got Talent stars THE WOLFE BROTHERS, multi award-winning SARA STORER, along with CAITLYN SHADBOLT, TOMATO TOMATO and DREW MCALISTER.

Broadbeach Alliance Chief Executive Officer Jan McCormick says, “We are very proud of the line-up of talent that we have managed to secure this year. Not only do we have the absolute cream of the country music crop, we’re also showcasing top local stars like The Wolfe Brothers, Caitlyn Shadbolt and Sara Storer, who represent the future of Australian country.”

“The event will feature more than 84 performances from these stars on 12 stages, including a major stage in Surf Parade, and for the first time a headline stage in Kurrawa Park, right next to the beach,” she continued.

The world-class calibre of the line-up of Broadbeach Country Music Festival has recently been showcased at the CMC Music Awards 2017, where headliner Travis Collins took out three awards – Australian Country Artist of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, and Australian Video of the Year. Fellow Broadbeach performer Fanny Lumsden also came home a winner, taking out the CMC New Artist of the Year award.
