SYDNEY SCORES EXCLUSIVE DEAL WITH LIVERPOOL FC

English Premier League giants Liverpool FC will take on Sydney FC next month in a friendly match at ANZ Stadium.

Secured by Destination NSW, the 24 May match will be the first time Liverpool FC has played in Sydney and is expected to attract around 10,000 overnight visitors and contribute more than $6.5 million to the NSW economy.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said, “Securing this match is another example of the NSW Government’s commitment to building a world-class calendar of events for our State.”

NSW Minister for Tourism and Major Events Adam Marshall said, “I encourage football fans to book their trip to Sydney and while they’re here, to stay on and enjoy everything our State has to offer – from the spectacle of Vivid Sydney, to the wide array of activities on offer in rural and regional NSW.”

Liverpool FC Ambassador, Ian Rush said, “We have so many incredible fans in Australia and there is always a brilliant atmosphere when we play over here."

The Liverpool FC trip comes ahead of Arsenal FC’s tour of Sydney and follows visits from Chelsea FC, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Juventus.

Tickets are on sale now via Ticketek.
