SYDNEY FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES FIRST FILMS FOR 2017

The Sydney Film Festival has announced 28 prominent new films to be featured in this year’s event, which will once again bring cinema from the world’s top film festivals to venues across Sydney.

Highlights include high-profile documentary Whitney ‘Can I Be Me’ which tells the extraordinary story of the late Whitney Houston; The Woman Who Left, a haunting drama by independent filmmaker Lav Diaz; and A Ghost Story starring Oscar winner Casey Affleck and Rooney Mara.

For the first time Randwick’s Ritz Cinema, which celebrates its 80th birthday this year, will also join the festival as an official screening partner.

The 64th Sydney Film Festival will light up the city from 7-18 June. Save the dates! Our full program is announced and on-sale on Wednesday 10 May.

Plan ahead and save. Flexipasses are already on sale and available here. The cheapest way to see more films is to purchase a Flexipass 10, 20 or 30.
