FUN TOURS FOR THE KIDS

Treat your kids to some of Sydney's more iconic experiences with a unique twist. Join a museum sleepover, a cycling tour, or a whale-watching cruise. Taronga Zoo's Roar and Snore is a night safari and sleepover in the zoo on the edge of Sydney Harbour!

Taronga Zoo's Roar and Snore is a night safari and a sleepover in the zoo on the edge of Sydney Harbour, one of the great natural harbours in the world. Other popular tours for kids include museum sleepovers, cycling tours, whale-watching cruises, and a Sydney Observatory family tour.

Sydney has plenty of exciting tours to entertain children, from a sleepover with creatures great and small at Taronga Zoo to tall ships on Sydney Harbour, cycling and Segway tours, and even a tour of the Universe. A great way to explore many wonderful attractions is on a double-decker bus.

Sydney Explorer has two hop-on, hop-off bus tours with an audio channel for kids. One route takes you around the city's attractions, including WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo and SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium; the other includes Bondi Beach, where kids can learn to surf throughout the year at Lets Go Surfing.

Kids love animals, so stay at Taronga Zoo for a night. As a Roar and Snore camper, you'll go on a 90-minute night safari and see what animals get up to after dark. A night at the museum is popular too, with both the Australian Museum and the Powerhouse Museum holding several sleepovers a year.

Between May and November, daily whale-watching tours will take you to see humpbacks migrating along the spectacular Sydney coast. Youngsters can also test their sea legs on a tour of Sydney Harbour aboard a tall ship with Sydney Heritage Fleet Cruises and Sydney Harbour Tall Ships.

Young astronomers can turn their gaze to the stars at the Sydney Observatory in The Rocks, which offers specialised tours, including night-time viewing experiences and a 3D theatre. At Sydney Olympic Park, kids as young as nine can have fun on a Segway with Segway Tours Australia.

Kids have their sporting heroes, including fast bowlers, spinners and batsmen. You can visit the Sydney Cricket Ground Museum as part of the SCG Experience Tours. For ghostly experience, join Ghost Trackers at Q Station near Manly. And in Manly, go cycling along the gorgeous coast with Manly Bike Tours.
