MCEC’s symphony gives Melbourne the edge

Just like a finely-tuned orchestra, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) comprises a large ensemble of talented individuals who all play their part to deliver a spectacular event performance.

Today, this very notion was brought to life before 300 international and domestic hosted buyers and industry professionals at the exclusive Melbourne Edge event for the 2017 Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME).

MCEC’s Symphony of the Senses performance captivated attendees, which included a powerful live rendition of In the Hall of the Mountain King by the Melbourne Philharmonic Orchestra. Paired with a dramatic audio-visual production, Symphony of the Senses showcased what happens behind the scenes to deliver world-class events at MCEC.

MCEC’s Director of Customer Experience and Optimisation, Anne Jamieson said the performance was designed to recognise all of the people who contribute to a customer’s experience at the venue.

“From the Victorian suppliers who work with us to deliver the best produce, to our Food and Beverage team who create culinary masterpieces through their passion and expertise, we’re constantly striving for perfection.

“The same goes for our amazing Technology, Logistics and Set-ups teams who work tirelessly to transform our spaces, and our Catering and Customer Service teams who look after each guest with care and attention. At MCEC, we believe every event should be better than the last,” Ms Jamieson explained.

“We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of innovation and leaders in the business events industry, bringing new ideas and a fresh approach to ensure each event we host for our customers stands out from the crowd.”

MCEC’s event delivery focuses on surprising and delighting their customers, continuing to push the conventional approach with the venue’s recent shift toward a more customer-centric model.

“It’s always such a pleasure to welcome AIME’s hosted buyers to MCEC and we hope they continue to be surprised and delighted as they uncover the world’s most liveable city over these next few days,” Ms Jamieson added.
