Henry Jones Art Hotel Recognized with Condé Nast Traveler's 2016 Readers' Choice Award for Best Hotels in the World - Australia & New Zealand

Condé Nast Traveler has announced the results of its 29th annual Readers' Choice Awards with The Henry Jones Art Hotel recognized as one of the best hotels in the world, particularly within the Australia and New Zealand region, with a score of 81.71 out of 100.

“The Henry Jones Art Hotel is extremely pleased to have been awarded the prestigious accolade. Reader driven awards are particularly satisfying for the entire staff and I as the award is testimony to our proven dedication to our guests through a curated and unique hotel experience that combines modern comforts and creative expression” says Rod Black, General Manager of The Henry Jones Art Hotel.

Over 300,000 dedicated readers – nearly twice as many as last year -- cast votes for 7,394 hotels, 606 cities, 500 cruise ships, and 236 islands, in an average survey time of 8.4 minutes. The result? The 1,402 best travel experiences in the world.

Australia's first dedicated art hotel, The Henry Jones Art Hotel, expertly fuses art, heritage, culture and nature. Enviably situated in one of Hobart's oldest harbourfront sandstone warehouses, the hotel showcases original artworks throughout it's 56 individually designed first class suites, restaurant, bar and function rooms.

The Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry and are commonly known as “the best of the best of travel.” Under Editor in Chief Pilar Guzmán, the Readers' Choice Awards have become more selective and specific to the passions that inspire today's travelers.

The Readers' Choice Awards are announced in the November issue of Condé Nast Traveler, on newsstands nationwide on October 25, 2016. The full list is published exclusively online, at www.CNTraveler.com/rca.

The Henry Jones Art Hotel

Comprising 56 first-class suites, a restaurant, bar and function rooms, the Henry Jones is Australia's first dedicated Art Hotel, showcasing work by some of Tasmania's finest visual artists. Guest rooms and public spaces exhibit original artworks which are available for purchase.

The accommodation takes in luxury fittings such as king or queen size beds with exotic silk covers and ottomans.
