LOVE EVERY SECOND OF SYDNEY AND NSW THIS SUMMER

Sydney’s world-class food and wine scene, glorious beaches, shopping precincts and the NSW jam-packed events calendar was showcased to more than 4.2 million people when the Love Every Second of Sydney & NSW in Summer magazine was distributed in major newspapers across Australia and New Zealand.

NSW Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events Stuart Ayres said the 28-page magazine produced by the State’s tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW, highlights Sydney and NSW as a destination of choice and the ideal place for a short break.

“NSW already attracts more visitors than any other State and we want to encourage as many people as possible to travel and experience everything that’s on offer,” Mr Ayres said.

“In the year to June 2016, there were more than 90 million international, domestic and day trip visitors who stayed almost 180 million nights and spent more than $31.5 billion in NSW.

“This colourful magazine will showcase some of our standout events and experiences on offer this Summer and help in our goal of doubling overnight visitor expenditure by 2020.”

Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer Sandra Chipchase said with summer on the way, NSW is the perfect place to play.

“I encourage everyone to grab their copy of the Love Every Second of Sydney & NSW in Summer magazine this weekend and use it to explore Australia’s number one State, known for its coastal lifestyle, natural beauty and exciting events and festivals,” Ms Chipchase said.

The magazine is also be available online at www.sydney.com and, for the first time, a Mandarin-language version will be available to download at www.sydney.cn.
