Temperatures dropping as Mt Buller readies for the snow season

Mt Buller is already gearing up for the coming snow season, which officially kicks off over the Queen’s birthday long weekend, on Saturday 11 June. The resort is buzzing with anticipation for the first snowfalls and preparing for a busy season. Mt Buller continues to be Victoria’s most popular alpine resort, with over 300,000 visitors enjoying time on the slopes in 2015.

Mt Buller is committed to continually improving the resort and 2016 is no different with a range of updates in place for the winter.

This year visitors to the Resort will enjoy improvements to our world class snowmaking system with the installation of eleven fully automatic DB6 snow guns; improved 3G coverage with the addition of 4G services; the introduction of Mountain Safe courses for alpine enthusiasts; and new and exciting dining experiences including a fresh Fish and Chippery in the Village Square Plaza and a full refurbishment to the popular Après Bar & Café and Black Cockatoo Restaurant in the Mt Buller Chalet Hotel.

Buller Ski Lifts has again invested in the snow making system, ensuring the ski area is in top condition. A range of other improvements and developments in the Mt Buller Village will ensure guests an even more enjoyable snow holiday this season.

“We’re counting down to the opening weekend celebration, which sees a weekend full of festivities for the whole family, and if we’re lucky, plenty of snow for skiers and snowboarders to make their first turns for the season.”
