Australian Ice Hockey League Finals at Medibank Icehouse

Medibank Icehouse is predicted to heat up during the last weekend of August, when the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) induced finals fever tightens its grip on Melbourne’s much loved ice sports and entertainment facility.

On Saturday the 29th of August, Air Canada will present two gruelling semi-final battles at 3pm and 6pm respectively.

Prior to the puck’s drop, spectators will have the chance to hit the ice for a game day skate. For over an hour, ticket holders can use provided equipment to experience the exhilaration of ice beneath their skates.

Fans will not go hungry after sweating it out on the ice, as Medibank Icehouse’s Igloo Cafe will be serving hot and cold snacks and drinks all weekend.

At 3pm on Sunday the 30th of August, the biggest AIHL event of the year will take place when the top two teams come head to head on the ice.

Last year’s final saw the Melbourne Mustangs claim a 6-1 victory over Melbourne Ice. This year’s clash is sure to have fans on the edge of their seats, as they wait to find out which team will come out on top.

The 2015 Finals fever won’t end when the last goal is scored and the final buzzer sounds. Instead, spectators will be treated to an evening of AIHL style entertainment.

After the game, ticketholders will have the chance to head Rinkside from 5.30-7.45pm and meet some of the stars they have just watched in action.

Tickets to the season’s final and most thrilling encounter will sell out. Fans are advised to purchase their reserved seat now to avoid disappointment.
