NSW home to Australia’s best value destinations

The list completed by Trivago was compiled from over 120 million traveller reviews, and rated destinations on the price and reputation of their accommodation.

“This list shows Regional NSW leads the way when it comes to affordable holiday destinations,” Mr Barilaro said.

“We all know about the natural beauty of our State, but this proves that we are also second to none when it comes to value and quality accommodation.

“North Coast hot spot Yamba came out on top, closely followed by Merimbula.

“The other NSW towns to feature in the top 10 were Forster, Narooma, Ulladulla, Ballina and Eden, with Bathurst, Orange, Coffs Harbour, Port Stephens and Port Macquarie all in the top 30.

“I encourage everyone to get out and about in NSW and explore what our regions have to offer. Whether it’s for a short break or a longer stay, our coastal and inland locations have something for everyone.

“It is vital we support regional tourism to continue to contribute to the State’s economy.

“Last year we saw 50.4 million international and domestic overnight and day trip visitors experience Regional NSW who spent $13.3 billion.

“Locals and visitors alike should make sure they put these fantastic destinations on their list for 2015 as they feature spectacular scenery, a wide range of experiences, friendly locals and as this list highlights, are all value for money.”
