TravelBlogger.es is back: FITUR’s international travel blogger award

The registration period is open from 12 to 31 December for participating in the FITUR blogger award, which in this staging will recognise the best generator of content and the most popular blogger from among candidates worldwide

FITUR 2015, the International Tourism Trade Show organised by IFEMA due to be staged at FERIA DE MADRID from 28 January to 1 February, has again launched the “TRAVEL BLOGGER 2015” competition, which this year extends participation to all countries worldwide.

In its past two stagings, FITUR recognised travel bloggers from Europe and Latin America according to the quality of their content and their dissemination capacity. 248 candidates from 43 countries took part in the last edition, who just through their dissemination on the social networks reached more than 2,500,000 single users connected with tourism. At this third staging, FITUR is taking a qualitative step forward, giving more importance to the opinion of the specialised judging panel, laying the foundations to make this the most important award on an international scale.

In addition to this competition, FITUR 2015 will again become the meeting point in which tourism bloggers will take centre stage. There are now more than 150 bloggers accredited for this year’s awards.

Anyone interested in participating in the “TRAVEL BLOGGER 2015 competition can register from 12 to 31 December on the website http://travelblogger.es/ and decide in which categories they wish to take part: best content, most popular blog or both. To participate, please send a link to the blog, a representative post and a post that talks about FITUR2015.

For selecting the winner in the “Best Content” category, the popular vote has been removed from this edition and it will be a specialised jury (in two phases) which will exclusively decide the winner according to the following criteria: quality of content, innovative use, integration of formats and capacity for dissemination and influence.

There will be two awards, one per category, which will consist of an all-expense-paid invitation to FITUR 2015 (flight from the capital of the country of origin and accommodation). In addition, all finalists will receive an accreditation certificate and a badge of honour, which they will be able to use to promote their space.

The competition conditions and details will be available on the travelblogger.es site.
